Even the best of photographers need a powerful tool like Photoshop to turn their captures into stunning works of art. But Photoshop doesn’t come cheap. At all. If you’re a struggling/wannabe photographer or someone who wants an affordable alternative to Photoshop, you don’t have to budget for an expensive software anymore. Enlight Photofox from Lightricks Ltd. is about to change the way you edit your photos on your iPhone or iPad.
We take a closer look at all the new and improved functionalities of the app and how it can transform the way you work with your iOS captures.
What Enlight Photofox Can Do To Your Photos
Photofox lets you transform your photos into surreal art by superimposing images and creating double exposures. The app supports layering, which makes it easy to combine photos and re-edit each layer at any time. You can also use the cut and paste functionality to select specific parts of a photo and superimpose it over another part. The blending and transparency modes are ideal for transforming images.

The biggest feature introduction in Enlight Photofox is of course, the new layers system. This powerful feature allows users to combine multiple photos into one and blend and merge them seamlessly without any effort at all. Enlight Photofox offers greater precision and control over how you want your photos to be layered, equal to any desktop application. For example, while layering, you have use tools like rotate, resize, transform, and warp to manipulate the images according to your requirements.

Another eye catching feature of the app is Darkroom. This feature offers more granular control over adjustments to the tone. There are plenty of tools for fine-tuning the tone, contrast, color, grain, fade or vignette effect of your photos.
Photo mixing aside, Enlight Photofox allows you to draw, type or doodle on your photo. It offers a number of cool tools to draw designs, street art and abstract elements on your images. For example, you have a variety of fonts, graphic elements, and presets among others that you can use to infuse new artistic elements into your images.
The app also offers special packs like such as light leaks, filters, styles, backdrops, effects, brushes, and stickers to easily incorporate into your photos. An exciting new Film mode lets you transform your captures into something that looks like it was printed on real film.
Enlight Photofox is a feature-rich application that photo enthusiasts with a creative eye are definitely going to enjoy using. Its a great tool for designing Instagram and other social media posts, flyers, and posters right from your iPhone. And its definitely a great alternative to Photoshop.
That said, Enlight Photofox is not an app for the casual photographer who prefers to click and apply artistic effects. The app does take some time to get used to. As much as you’d love to swipe and slide to magically transform photos, (like you see in the promos) that is possible only after you spend a considerable amount of time with the app.

For professional photo enthusiasts and design artists though, Enlight Photofox should be the best thing that has happened since Photoshop.
