Modern society is more social now than it has ever been. However, that does not make everyone a social bee. In fact, you’ll be surprised how many people live in fear of other people’s judgement, particularly if its a negative one.

With so many people today flaunting their happy lifestyles on Facebook and Instagram, the malice of social anxiety is becoming more and more prominent. Socialphobia.org states that Social Anxiety Disorder (social phobia) is the third largest mental health care problem in the world today.

The Social Phobia Inventory Assessment (SPIN)
Joyable’s quiz is basically a 17-question survey that was developed at the Duke University. It has been clinically evaluated and validated as a genuine measure of social anxiety. All questions in the survey are related to the feelings you experienced in the past week.
Once you complete the survey, you’ll see a chart with your SPIN score and assessment. Here’s how the scores pan out:
Below 20: Low Social Anxiety
20-40: Clinical Social Anxiety
40-50: Severe Social Anxiety
Above 50: Very Severe Social Anxiety
The app states that there are 5 main contributors to social anxiety. A feeling of inadequacy, fear of facing criticism, fear of authority figures, fear of displaying visible signs of anxiety and hating to be the center of attention. When the assessment is complete, the prime contributor of your anxiety is identified.
Based on the main contributing factor that is giving you sleepless nights, Joyable offers a program for you to enroll in. You can take up the 7 day free trial to decide if the program is the right fit for you.
In the program, you get a 1:1 personal coach who will continually support and motivate you via phone, text, and email. The program also includes 5 minute interactive online activities that teach you CBT concepts to practice in real life. The app also constantly tracks and monitors your moods.
If you’re ready for the program or the free trial, you can sign up for enrollment.
Joyable’s program cost $99/month and it usually takes about 2-3 months on average for participants to complete it.
Joyable also has an employer backed program and you can check with your employer if you can avail the benefits of the program via the company. If you’d like to learn more about the app, schedule a call, or read client success stories, you can also visit the official website.
If you’ve been suffering from social anxiety and have taken up the program, we’d love to hear your experience with Joyable. You never know how many more people you might be helping by sharing them with us.
