LaMetric Time – Design
At first glance, you can easily mistake the LaMetric Time clock for a Bluetooth speaker. But obviously this smart clock is designed to do much more. The front of the clock has a pixel display with 8×8 color LEDs and 29×8 white LEDs. The LEDs display has a layer of diffusion making the lights appear more like 2D squares. This also helps to see the display at wide angles.
At the top of the clock lies three buttons — Previous, Action, and Next. The Previous and Next buttons allow you to scroll between different apps while the Action button allows you to interact with apps. Just in front of the Action button lies an ambient light sensor. This sensor is designed to enable the clock to dim or brighten its LED lights,.
