Keeping track of your tiny AirPods is no easy task, charging them, a bigger pain. So its only natural that they are kept somewhere close to their natural habitat. And where better to keep them than right alongside your iPhone. Plus, why charge your AirPods separately from your iPhone when you’re charging your iPhone any way. Why not charge them both together – using just one cable.
Well, that’s the premise behind PodCase Battery case, the latest efforts from the team behind the Pebble Smartwatch and Avegant Headset. The case itself is currently available in 2 sizes – for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus phones but the team is also working on one for the iPhone 8. An announcement to that effect will be available on the Kickstarter page once the device is announced on September 12. The Kickstarter has a pledged goal of $300,000. Here’s a closer look at what the PodCase has to offer.
The PodCase Battery Case
The PodCase looks pretty much like any other battery case but with a compartment at the top to keep the AirPods. When its time to charge them, you can rely on the 2500 mAh extra battery that can fully charge your iPhone or recharge both the AirPods up to 40 times.

A USB-C port recharges the case, which is great if you work on the go with your latest MacBook or laptop. A durable rubber case helps to keep your phone and AirPods safe and secure.
The only downside to this case is that you’re going to feel the bulk. But that also means that you have one less wire and case to carry around all the time. And obviously finding it is much more easy and you don’t have to keep rummaging inside your purse or bag anymore.
If you are interested in backing this project, you can pledge $79 to the campaign. If successful, the production will begin in November of 2017 and will start shipping in February 2018. The PodCase Battery case will retail for $99 when it launches.
